4 th of July Parade and Dick Bessel Independence Day Run - Updated 6/22/2021

4th of July Parade and Dick Bessel Independence Day Run

On Tuesday, June 15, 2021 the Governor lifted many of the Covid-19 mandates for NYS. The
change in mandates will allow the Town of Grand Island to host the Independence Day Parade
and Dick Bessel Independence Day Run with minimal restrictions.

Mask Mandate: NYS has changed the mask mandate to follow CDC guidance. “Fully
vaccinated people can…resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing…”
“Unvaccinated individuals continue to be responsible for wearing masks, in accordance with
federal CDC guidance.”
Please note, the parade and run will be on Saturday, July 3.
This occurs anytime July 4 is on
a Sunday.
